Query Atlas

Our method for turning messy search strings into named intent patterns your product, content, and analytics teams can share.

How the atlas comes together

Four steps we reuse across audits and retainers—adapted to your catalog, languages, and surfaces.

1. Collect the live search story

We pull recent queries, nulls, reformulations, and result engagements—enough volume to see themes without drowning in noise.

2. Cluster by intent, not spelling

Synonyms, typos, and language variants fold into the same pattern when they seek the same outcome. Each cluster gets a plain-language name.

3. Write inclusion rules

Every pattern earns a rule another analyst could rebuild: tokens, exclusions, windows, and edge cases. Vague labels do not leave the room.

4. Attach a decision

We pair each high-value pattern with one action—ranking, synonyms, content, UI—and a metric that shows whether it worked.
